There have never been any federal or state courts that ruled that smoking is a “disability” as defined by the ADA. And of course, if your dog or cat grooms itself or another animal, he’s ingesting the residues as well, Stamper says. However I dont allow anyone to smoke inside my house, if they want to smoke they can stand out in the garden even if its raining. Those of us who sell textile products are aware of how much they can pick up the slightest scent or random pet fur floating in the air or on one's own clothing while crafting. My sinuses clog up in a slightest exposure to cigarettes. Smokers don't realize how strong smoke scent can be to a non-smoker.
You may be at risk for legal liabilities by failing to take action to protect tenants in your building from involuntary exposure to secondhand smoke. A smoke-free building doesn’t mean that people who smoke cannot reside in the building, nor does it mean that people who smoke must quit. It simply means that smokers are not allowed to smoke inside the building or in any other areas specified in the policy, such as on patios and balconies.

If your pet eats a cigarette, more than one cigarette butt, a cigar, chewing tobacco, a nicotine refill capsule, or liquid refilling solution, it’s an emergency! Get him or her to your veterinarian or to a veterinary emergency clinic as quickly as possible. Your veterinarian can give supportive care like intravenous fluids and anti-seizure medications that may help your pet survive until the nicotine leaves his or her system. Yes I am highly allergic to dander, and have bad lungs. This alone would not keep me from buying from a pet owner or a smoker, there is alot more involved. People having such problems could have a bigger reaction to any perfumes, scents or detergents a seller used or included.
We bought a buggy for DD from a smokers home and i had to take all of the material off and wash it three times before the smell of smoke was gone. I think if it's coming from a smokers home to a smoke free home it is more noticeable. It makes a HUGE diference, ds and i both have allergies to animal hair. I can tell if im in the company of someone who has an animal as my eyes, nose and throat become affected within minutes.

Posting signs at entrances to the property and in common areas to remind residents, their guests, and staff about the no-smoke policy. The National Cancer Institute and the CDC Smokefree.gov site, which offers cell phone apps to help you quit smoking, like Quit Guide, QuitSTART, and SmokefreeTXT. Some of these conditions, like pneumonia, lung cancer, and heart problems, can cause death. Other conditions, like allergies and feather plucking, can be difficult to treat if the bird is not removed from the smoky environment.
He does not even have to be around the cat...just someone who had been holding a cat or has a lot of cat hair on them. His face and neck swells and he gets asthma pretty bad. When he was little he would tell me, "Mama, someone has a cat" and we would do the rescue inhaler and an antihistamine. If that did not work...we would race home for the breathing treatment. If that did not work, off to the ER we would go.
What does it mean when a hotel is pet friendly?
I'm not officially allergic to smoke, but I am very sensitive to it. It does make me sneeze if it's strong enough, and my eyes will water if I'm exposed to it in person . I recently bought a few things from both eBay and here on RS, of course not knowing that they respectively came from smoking-friendly homes, and the stench of cheap cigarettes was overwhelming and repulsive. I did an experiment on the figures I cared about a little less . I sealed them in a baggie, immersing them in a mixture of lavender Febreze and water, and then aired them out to dry. Now, they all smell like lavender-scented cigarettes.

Nicknamed “the barkless dog,” the Basenji is an independent dog who won’t mind some time alone. If you sneak a dog into a hotel expect that sooner or later, you’ll be caught. You will then have to pay extra fees and face being kicked out. The hotel will likely charge penalties on top of normal room charges. The hotel may cancel your stay and kick you out.
"From a pet-free smoke-free home."
If you’re a smoker, you probably realize the dangers smoking may pose to your health. But have you ever thought about how the habit affects your pet? According to Food and Drug Administration veterinarian Carmela Stamper, D.V. M., the news is not good. @PixelsinparadiseI think I understand what you're trying to say. I've been in the homes of some people that neither smoke or have pets but they've been far, far from clean.
IVe ended up in hospital once due to being in contact with animal hair which was an extremely scarey time therefore is i buy 2nd hand i NEVER buy if it doesnt say pet free home. Firstly I dont want to breathe other peoples smoke, secondly I dont want the smell lingering in my house. I will always be more inclined to get stuff that come from a smoke free home because it means there isnt that dreadful tobacco smell lol.
Its just a sales gimmick phase just something used to try and get ahead in sales. In the beginning of the internut Lightly Soiled was the buzz words everything was lightly soiled as people complained it was changed to Lightly Soiled laundered to ebay standards. While out on the honeytree route whenever I'd see dogs wearing women's underwear I knew a ebay powerseller lived there... Finally, if you’re thinking about getting a pet but have no space for it in your room or house, then this probably isn’t the best option.
I do think, in the case of fabric sales, it's generally specified. I also said I can see the allergy issue, so I can respect that. Again dander makes me sick and I have bad lungs...ugh. But this was about what it brings to 'My' mind......and sharing as a Funny question. Here is a phrase that I use in the text of my descriptions that I use.
Federal government websites often end in .gov or .mil. Before sharing sensitive information, make sure you're on a federal government site. So I doubt whatever pet free implies is hurting anyone. I do have that stated in my listings because there are people who do have allergies. Personally, most other pets like birds or fish don't interact enough to interest me. There are actually some of us who are allergic to cat dander or dog fur.

I've bought stuff before like DVD's and it's clear it has lived in a smoking home because it does indeed smell, however subtle. I appreciate now that there will be lots of people along to say that they have dogs and their houses do not smell. I appreciate this info, although it wouldn't put me off. I just like to know if something's going to smell of smoke or be hairy when I receive it. The one good thing about stuff that smells like smoke, they're the perfect gifts to give smokers.
I like a smoke with some beers as much as the next guy, but would never buy stuff again from someone that was a smoker inside their house. One of the worst smells is opening a package containing a MOC figure that came from a smoker. You unwrap the figure from the bubble wrap, and it just slaps you across the face.
